What a wild week in LA. After doing three appearance tours in one day with Todd Gurley from the LA Rams and Malcolm Mitchell from the New England Patriots, I ended the night by catching up with an old friend who surprised us with a private tour of Disney Studios.
As a keynote speaker and magician who talks about creating “magic” in everyday moments, getting a behind-the-scenes look at how Disney operates was an absolute masterclass. I learned about:
- The Marvel offices — complete with actual costumes from the Avengers films
- The Lucasfilm wing — with real Star Wars props
- Sets from shows like Black-ish and Mixed-ish
- The building where Walt Disney mapped out the entire concept for Disney
- The original animation building with early sketches of classic characters
- Plus a ton of behind-the-curtain stories about Disney’s history
And yes… I was absolutely trying not to spill my coffee on anything
